"I don't know what called me to that continent. At first I thought it was because it was the biggest and therefore had the largest population of any realm; my search would be much easier. But as time went by, the truth became undeniable.
It sounds silly and cliche, yes, but now I believe that something was drawing me there; to that continent, to that city, to the very path where we first met. What if it's the power of the Scale?... The power of the Gemini Gods themselves..."
An unknown number of years have passed since the Gemini Gods were separated and the continent split into multiple divisions. The humans of the Austror continent keep a firm grip over the land and maintain an uneasy peace with the elves who share it. The dangerous hybrids are kept far to the east in Eus-Aen, and the Realm of Libra offers a homeland to those who don't care for the courts and kingdoms of Austror. The people support Baldur, the 'blessed' of the two Gemini Gods.
There are whispers of another realm... Though none dare to disturb it's unique race's slumber, for awakening those infused with the power of the alternate God, Albasta, will suffer an intolerable fate...
Thus begins the story of Raven Sendemere, a wandering bounty hunter with no real purpose or goal in life besides fighting for a living, regardless of the instability of such a lifestyle. During one of his assignments, however, he stumbles upon a young woman claiming to be searching for the 'Scale', a mythical artifact said to exist somewhere in their world. The Scale is seldom spoken of, and even less is known about it...
The struggle to keep the delicate balance left in the world, to discover the true depth of 'fate', and the difference between friends and foes. When the wellfare of a world is dictated by the fragile balance, there is no boundary line between the good and the evil. To what length will some go to in order to bring about the realization of their true destiny?
Perhaps a journey so large is best left in the hands of the Messenger and the Heir.
"Perhaps the Scale isn't a 'thing', but rather..."
Tales of Cadence
