Like the title says. What are your favorite genres of music?
I've got pretty diverse interests, but my favorites are symphonic music, cheesy soundtrack music, symphonic/operatic metal, prog rock, Ian Anderson and/or Jethro Tull (he's a genre all his own), prog metal, power metal, and my secret shame is goth rock.
My favorite artists are Jethro Tull, Blind Guardian, Within Temptation, Nightwish, The Crest, early Queensryche, Eric Whitacre, Theocracy, and Robert W. Smith.

It's kind of hard for me to answer this, because I tend to like individual songs. However, I like most songs of the following genres: classical, orchestral/symphonic, movie soundtracks, symphonic/operatic metal, Celtic, and musicals/show tunes.

Musicals! *facepalm* Yeah, that was what I was forgetting. I seem to like things that are needlessly theatrical and melodramatic.

I'm a fan of music from the 20's-40's, as well as musical scores and instrumentals, and rock/pop.
No mainstream.

I don't usually care about genre when listening to music. I just like what I hear. But the kinds I do listen to tend to listen to surprisingly go around rock/pop...Jpop especially! ;D
